PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Bob began his career as an auditor in the small business division of an international accounting firm. Bob decided to venture out on his own and shortly thereafter formed Pasquesi Sheppard with his long time colleague, Don Sheppard. Bob’s intention was to create a firm that provided both the expertise and quality of work that an international firm offered with an emphasis on providing exceptional client service. The firm has grown to include over 45 highly trained, responsive individuals.
Today, Bob provides a wide array of accounting, consulting and tax services for privately-held businesses and individuals. While Bob oversees accounting and tax preparation, he also actively involves himself in the company’s financial and tax planning. He assists clients with selling and acquiring businesses and provides strategies to minimize the tax implications. When working with individuals, Bob advises his clients on income and estate taxes. He regularly works with sophisticated trusts and partnerships that are utilized for generational planning. Bob prides himself on acting as a strong advocate for his clients and will assemble a team of other outstanding professionals to provide quality service to them.
MEMBERSHIPS / AFFILIATIONS:
Bob serves on the boards of trustees and directors of several organizations. Bob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He is also actively involved with numerous charities.
EDUCATION:
Bob holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois and an AICPA Certified Personal Financial Specialist.
PERSONAL INTERESTS:
Bob enjoys playing golf and has three holes in one on his golf resume. He runs almost every morning and has completed three Chicago Marathons. His active lifestyle and high energy level impress even our youngest employees. Bob served on active duty for two years with the U.S. Army as Officer in the Finance Division. He lives in Lake Forest with his wife and has four children.
